Hi does anyone else get this? I can be quite relaxed and for no apparent reason i get missed beats and multiple missed beats over and over during and after sex. You know how much i hate them even though i know that they won't hurt me but they are so horrible and the only reason i can think of why they happen then is perhaps because my adrenaline is going, do you think this is it? But my heart can be at a normal rate or a bit faster and they still happen. And sometimes they don't happen until afterwards when i am settling down to sleep, very annoying. Just wondered if this was still classed as 'normal' too and if anyone else suffers this also.xx

Hi

I get this to sometimes, I think it depends if my IBS is playing up then I seem to, but I get a weird tighteness in my chest and my heart races. Try not to let it put you off! ;) I think it's probably because of the exertion and I think because of the chemicals we release when we have sex, not sure.

I also notice if I tense my chest muscle through lifting, or suddenly twisting I get missed beats.

If i twist i get them too, they are so annoying and off putting though. I must admit that i don't have sex as much as i used to because of his happening so it does put me off.xx

This is a very common complaint and again, has to do with your sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system and associated alteration of the nervous system at points prior to, during and after sexual activities.

Nothing to worry about here at all.
