Title: That surge we talked about RLR Post by angiebaby on Aug 20th, 2007, 4:21pm I was just wondering why you can sometimes feel this and sometimes you can't? I got up and had breakfast and sat for a while watching tv this morning. I then got up and went in the kitchen to have another cuppa and sort the washing and as soon as i got in the kitchen to pour my cuppa i could feel my heart bashing away, i did not check, but it felt like it was doing at least 120 and it was very powerful and i felt it all through my body and in my ears. I have felt this on lots of occasions and you have explained about the 'rush' and 'surge' feelings, which you state are normal. But after about 5 minutes this went off and i was ok again, but how come sometimes i can feel this and sometimes i cannot? A little later i was humping washing and drying about and even though i new that my heart was going fast, i could not feel it and it did not get that 'surge' at all.xx |
Title: Re: That surge we talked about RLR Post by billycat on Aug 21st, 2007, 5:20am Hi angiebaby, I get this surge feeling too sometimes! Mine feel a bit like when you get up quickly form lying down - but they happen at other times other than lying down. There's a feeling of nervousness/anxiousness and fullness deep inside my chest and stomach when it happens too (even if I'm not feeling anxious in my head - if that makes sense?!?). It doesn't bother me unless it carries on for a bit too long!!! Don't know what it is I'm afraid... best wishes billycat |

Title: Re: That surge we talked about RLR Post by billycat on Aug 21st, 2007, 3:07pm Hi - me again! I forgot to say that another feeling with this surge thing is a bizarre feeling in my ears!! Like the full feeling, but more of a burning pressure rising up my neck and into the back of my ears! That one is a tiny bit like the feeling you might get if you think you're going to faint... curious! Do you get that too? Or is that one all mine...!! ;) Duh - just read your first post again which says that you do indeed have an 'ear' feeling!! Sorry :-[ |
Title: Re: That surge we talked about RLR Post by angiebaby on Aug 22nd, 2007, 8:58am Oh yes, my ears are terrible. They have been a bit better since i've been off work but for the past two days they've started again. That is one of the reasons why i had one of the MRI's. But they came out clear. But it is the horrible feeling that i am scared off because it reminds me of when my illness first started and i thought i was going to pass out and die and this feeling still haunts me. I also get a lot of ringing in my ear/ears. Worse these past two days, but i don't know why, i have not done or eaten anything different. I know exactly what you mean though, it is a nasty sensation. I am waiting to be referred to a neurologist and a phsio. They are querying whether it is meneires disease or a muscular problem. But at least we are not alone hey. Thanks for the replies.xx |
