Title: Hi to all...some ideas that may help
Post by Bluejay on Dec 17th, 2010, 6:18am

Hi,
Just discovered this forum and would like to share some stuff that i've found over time that you may or may not find useable.

First I found that leaning forward with my head down and holding my breath would often stop a palpitation as would squatting like a baseball catcher.  Afeter many years I had never found anything except lying down and good luck would put a halt to a palp.

Next and this is one that even the most experienced Md's like Dr. Sinatra didn't seem aware of...CAYENNE PEPPER tincture.  It's a little hard to take at first but it may be a godsend for you.  I had one for 12 hours and was ready to go to ER for the first time and put a little Cayyenne in water and it stopped!!! It usually takes 20 seconds or so.
Can't hurt a try.  I've read that Cayenne is kind of a miracle herb.  Ckeck out some of it's other uses .

I hope this is of some help to someone.  best of luck and so nice to find this forum.
  Jay

Okay, I just made recent comment about this sort of posting. The use of uncharacteristic products to treat medical conditions is not to be posted in the context of advisory or directive language. Again, this forum is not open as an adjunct alternative therapy resource.

The use of any products, prescription or otherwise, need to remain entirely within the awareness of your primary care physician or specialist under whose care you are being treated or advised. No content from this forum, including my own, is to serve as prescriptive or a medical directive intended or suggested to supplant the direct evaluation and care by your primary care physician or specialist for your medical complaints.

Best regards and Good Health

RJR.

I just thought that my experiences might be helpful to someone and believe me thay might be.  I am not looking to argue with you but it seems that you view this forum as your personal domain and certainly that of conventional medicine...it may be somewhat limiiting to try to exclude any other ideas.  In any case that is up to the members of this forum and I hope they all have good health and are not overly burdened by the palpitations that we all have experienced.  Thanks for my chance to speak and best of luck

I think what he is (correctly, I might add) driving at, is that some natural remedies can interact with prescription medications that a person might be taking. It's something a lot of people don't readily think can be a risk. They think "hey its just an herb/aspirin/etc it can't do anything bad." Just a quick search on the internet shows that cayenne pepper can interact with quite a few different medications. I think that's all he was getting at, and seeing that he is a physician I can't really blame him for trying to keep safe the visitors of this forum.

This forum is indeed reflective solely of "conventional" medicine and is restricted from association with alternative or charasmatic practices.

As you can see by a response from one of the many respected forum members here, it is by adherence to conventional medical information that she very accurately points out the potential risks associated with directing or advising the use of alternative preparations.

The reason that my comments may appear to suggest it to be a personal domain is because it is under my direction on my server space and I administer it. While I have always considered the forum content to be under the ownership of the members, the regulations pertaining to what may be excluded under certain circumstances is strictly under my authority.

The philosophy which underlies this forum has served the members well to whatever extent they feel it beneficiary. If you believe it should be open to suit your own ideas or the platform of others, then my suggestion would be to either locate a forum more parallel to your own practices or alternatively create and publish a forum of your own.

The standards here, however, have been consistent and will not be altered.

Best regards and Good Health
