Title: Ecg results Post by wgarry on Dec 18th, 2010, 2:44am I had a ecg with my cardioligist, on the report he sent my dr it said my ecg showed some suggestion of saddle shaped st changes in v5 an v6 and possibly in lead ll. Does anyone have any idea what this means?? |
Title: Re: Ecg results Post by Stav98 on Dec 18th, 2010, 4:50am Not a clue! Wouldn't be worrying about it too much though. If there was a 'proper' problem I'm sure you'd have heard about it by now. |
Title: Re: Ecg results Post by Typer on Dec 18th, 2010, 6:53am I have no clue either. Hope RLR comes soon to help you understand the results. You could maybe call your doctor and ask him/her to explain |

Title: Re: Ecg results Post by RLR on Dec 18th, 2010, 6:07pm Okay saddle-shaped ST segments would tend to indicate the presence of pericarditis, but it is typically confluent throughout the leads and is most often accompanied by complaints of rather judicious pain by the patient. I would suggest that your physician simply repeat the ECG in several days and I think you'll find it to be unremarkable. Best regards and Good Health |
Title: Re: Ecg results Post by wgarry on Dec 19th, 2010, 6:14am Thanks RLR, I have a bit of pain and skippled beats and flutters but nothing like i would have (from what ive read) if i had pericarditis. Im going in tomorrow (monday) for the 24 ecg and i will ask them to repeat the ecgfor me. |
