Hello all,

I have been stalking this site for a few days and it has provided me with a lot of comfort. My story is that I began to have palpitations when I was 22. I am now 27.

When I first started to get them, my doctor told me not to worry and it was probably due to stress. I do have problems with anxiety and my mother as well as some of my Aunts on her side have palpitations. My mom started to get them when she was in her 20's and they never did find anything wrong.

Other doctors I went to also said they were due to stress, but I always had a hard time believing. My doctor prescribed Lexapro which did stop the palpitations. Recently, I stopped taking Lexapro because it was getting to be too expensive and now I have been getting palpitations again. I always worry when I get them, but this site has helped me realizing that its just something we have to get through day by day. I appreciate it.
