Good news about something.
May 22nd, 2008, 8:01am

Just thought i would let you know that i saw the skin specialist, head one, and she said that the GP that i saw was an idiot and that i was not to see him again!!!  I have eczema, classic signs and symptoms and according to a leaflet that i picked up at work, it is a text book case!  Right sex, right age and even the pictures of it are the exact same.  I have been prescribed some cream, not had the gut's to use it yet though, lol.  It will be a long term condition and will continue to 'bug' me from time to time, but nothing to worry about.  I am lucky that i wasn't too worried as i had spoken to one of my GP 'bosses' who happens to be a dermatology 'expert' and he had already said that it was eczema and i believed him 100% - he is very good!  As this was before i saw the 'idiot', i was not worried.  If i had not seen him first then i would have had hell for weeks on end thinking i had skin cancer and that was that.  So at least that is one thing less to bother me, just get's to me with all the 'itching', lol.xx

I have developed eczema in the last couple of years - patch on my neck and now on my inner elbow. My GP prescribes Trimovate cream. It hasn't cleared it up totally yet - when it's not itchy I tend to forget about it and stop using the cream - but it's very helpful.
