Heart scan
Oct 01st, 2008, 7:35am

RLR,
The cardio Dr. did a stress test on Monday and they saw  a mild abnormality in the lower part of my heart, to which they said only because I was having arm, jaw, and other symptoms, they would like to run a ebt scan or 64 scan. The kicker is insurance does not want to pay for it! Ipay for my own health insurance and it is expensive and they decide what ican have or not. The next step is a caterization, that I might not need, Imagine the anxiety and stress I am under. It cost 950.00 if I want to pay myself. This is all so confusing, how does one decide what to do? As I said before, I have a 9 year old son I need to raise. What would you do?

Good luck while making your decision,  perhaps your Doc might appeal to the insurance company on your behalf stating why he thinks this test is important to your Diagnosis.

best regards
