FOR RLR -- Living with one adrenal gland
Mar 24th, 2011, 5:55am

Hello, RLR -- I just had one more question for you.  Almost two years ago I had one of my adrenal glands removed to get a benign third adrenal paraganglioma removed.  Can the loss of this adrenal gland have an effect on palpitations/ecoptics in the sense that it changes them in degree and intensity, or do our bodies compensate enough that there is no effect?

Thank you again for your time.   Jen ~

The removal of the adrenal gland, together with the paraganglioma, will have no impact on the presence or characterization of the palpitation events. In fact, the presence of the paraganglioma would have been a greater risk for the palpitation events.

You'll be fine.

Best regards and Good Health
