Flutterings

Hello all
I have nearly a day and a half of just intermittent ectopics which is great for someone like me - I was even able to not notice it for a couple of hours at a time - but maybe they weren't there that's why I didn't notice it - so even better. Also I was not getting the racing heart after running upstairs. but today it's horrible again as I am having strange flutterings every five minutes or so. It's really funny - it is like my heart beats are really close to each other without any hard beats but kind of fast and it is quite noticeable. It doesn't feel like the usual ectopics because it feels lighter and less thumpy. Can anyone enlighten me?

Is this a new and different problem - or the same thing?

I'm starting to feel a bit sick now - sort of what if that doesn't stop?

As I've mentioned in earlier postings, the entry point of benign palpitations upon the normal sinus rhythm of the heart will determine their impact. In other words, whether they enter at the point of ventricular polarization or depolarization will determine how intense the sensation is that you subsequently notice.

We're dealing with the same problem here and the sickness you feel is likely the mounting worry that it may be a sign of something new and serious, as well as the rumination that it might progress to something worse.

You'll be fine. Take a breath and relax.

Is it unusual for people to experience different types of palpitations at different times?

Why of course it's common for variations to occur with benign palpitations. Again, the body and its physiology represent a dynamic process and not a static one. Your symptoms are quite common.

People with anxiety really have it tough because in many cases, they are persons who crave novelty and spontanaity while at the same time becoming anxious because those characteristics typically cause persistent environmental change that reduces the sense of security required for maintaining a comfort zone. In other words, people with anxiety would say "make it different but keep it the same."

You'll be fine.
