Hi,
I realise this question isn't strictly to do with ectopics, but I know that there is a significant link between ectopics, GI irritation, anxiety and the vagus nerve so I just thought I'd check it out...
For the past couple of months I have been having a really uncomfortable stomach on and off. Can be there for a few days then go again for a few days. I have suffered from heartburn and stomach acid for years and recognise those feelings, but this if more like in the high part of the stomach below the breasts (lower than the ribs) but before the tummy button (does that make sense!?!).
This feeling is like a tight lump feeling inside and feels uncomfortable after eating. If i have it I find I can't eat much after 6:30pm without it being really uncomfortable all night long - even hours later. My tummy also feels like it doesn't know if its hungry or grumbly either. I feel like I'm hungry, but when I eat, its too uncomfortable, so I stop and then feel "hungry" again minutes later!
Like I said earlier, I can go days and days without this feeling, but then I can get it and it lasts for days too. If I rub my tummy when it feels like this, I do burp which makes it feel better but only for a second, then it feels exactly the same again. Putting a hot water bottle on it also helps!!
RLR - I wondered if I should ask my GP for some Omeprazole to see if it helps as I was given this just over a year ago for acid reflux - but it doesn't real feel acidic so will it help?
Obviously the health anxiety in me tells me it must be some sort of stomach cancer or something equally as hiddeous

so as usual, reality and reassurance are always welcome!!
Thanks as always,
