Anxiety symptoms - anyone?

Hi all

Have been "sick" a month now, it is my old friend anxiety who is back :'(
I AM doing better though but what I find really frustrating is that I feel so tired and exhausted even though I go for a long walk each day and do things around the house and get enough sleep.

It feels like my legs are just so weak, I just feel weak all over my body.

I have not been leading my normal life the past month so maybe this is why I feel so "weird"?

Can anxiety really make you feel so not like yourself? Sometimes I also feel I have a problem even typing or writing - like I have cramps in my fingers.

Any thoughts?

Hugs to you!  I am sorry you are feeling this way.  I think exhaustion when you are feeling anxious is normal, although I know it sure doesn't feel normal when you are going through it.  Are you getting enough water to drink?  Maybe the cramps in the fingers, and exhaustion could also be do to mild dehydration?  At any rate, I am sure the stress and anxiety are playing a role in how you feel.  I also know that anxiety can make your legs and muscles feel like a jelly roll!  Just all wobbly like.  things will get better.  Just keep telling yourself that and don't let the anxiety get the best of YOU!!!  The more control you give to the anxiety, the more you will keep feeling this.

Just get up one day and tell yourself, "Forget this!  I am going to be happy and not let this stuff get to me." Because you deserve MORE than that!!

Try drinking some ice cold water or gatorade.  Along with the anxiety, it could be you may be dehydrated some.  I am sure RLR will post his thoughts too, but in the meantime, I am sending you hugs and hoping things get better soon and THEY WILL I promise!

Post anytime you need to talk or vent..

Hi,
just a really quick note to say that anxiety can definitely cause you to feel this way. If you look back on some of my posts you'll see that chronic fear & anxiety caused me to feel extreme exhaustion & muscle fatigue which the doctors called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Since dealing with the root causes of this fatigue I have slowly got better although there is still some work to do. When your body is on red / amber alert all the time it is exhausting, it's just the adrenaline keeping your muscles tense which fatigues them.
Having said all that of course you should check with your doctor but it is very likely that it is just from the anxiety.
